Steven is the technical backbone of HytekLabs. He designs and builds every system the studio relies on, from the website and content pipelines to the internal tooling that keeps the team moving fast. His work ensures that when an artist finishes a model or a world builder finalizes a map, it flows seamlessly from concept to a playable mod.
Before HytekLabs, Steven spent years building full-stack applications across industries, ranging from enterprise platforms to early-stage startups. That experience taught him how to build systems that scale without over-engineering, and how to make technical decisions that hold up as a project grows. He brings that same discipline to everything the studio ships.
At HytekLabs, Steven owns the entire technical stack. He built the studio's website from scratch using Next.js and Tailwind, set up the AWS infrastructure for email and hosting, and created the deployment pipelines that let the team push updates without friction. When new tools are needed, he builds them. Whether it's a content management system, an image pipeline, or a mod packaging workflow, it's Steven's handiwork.
Steven's philosophy is simple: technology should disappear. The best infrastructure is the kind nobody has to think about. If the team can focus on creating great content without worrying about how it gets deployed, he's done his job.
Full-stack engineering, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling. Steven handles everything from frontend interfaces to server architecture, always with an eye toward keeping things fast, reliable, and easy for the rest of the team to use.
